About me and my story
I started Sophar Apparel to bridge a gap in the market for fun, colourful apparel with a message. The growth of women's sports in recent years has been nothing short of phenomenal.
With increased visibility and support, female athletes are inspiring a new generation of young girls to dream big and pursue their passion for sports. I felt there was a market for supporters’ apparel as an alternative to team jerseys… and so my ‘WOSO’ lines were born!
My advocacy designs were born out of a desire to champion acceptance for my son, his friends and the wider DS community. Advocating for individuals with Down syndrome is crucial for fostering inclusivity and promoting equal opportunities.
By raising awareness and challenging stereotypes, we can create a more compassionate and supportive society where every person, regardless of ability, is valued and empowered to thrive.

From fashion to sports, music to advocacy, I've always found joy in blending these passions into something unique and meaningful.
That's where my latest project comes in. Inspired by a desire to infuse fun and meaning into everyday wear, I've embarked on a mission to create garments with a message. Each piece is a reflection of my passion for women's sports, my love for music and my dedication to advocating for my son, who has Down syndrome.
